* FINALLY!
Posted on February 26th, 2009 by mdl. Filed under Uncategorized.
I’ve been beating my head against an imaging problem with an image I just created for System Center Deployment @ work. All of the other images worked fine except for the one I just put up. And I’ve been fighting this for what feels like forever. I went through line by line to see what on Earth I was screwing up.
The image copied up a recovery partition that I deleted in the partition section of the task sequence. Well, even though I deleted that partition, I DIDN’t notice that the task sequence automatically included a subsection to apply that partition anyway, and when it was hitting that portion of the task sequence it was locking because there was no partition to image to.
Simple to explain but good grief that took to long to figure out, and I feel like an idiot now that I found it.
* Paczki Day

I’m dyin. I love donuts, which in turn means I TOTALLY love Paczki’s… Today is a rough day considering I”m trying to lead a slightly healthier life, and therefore a Paczki isn’t the greatest idea.
Sigh. Pour one down for the Paczki that never was.

* A call to men

This is a sermon from Driscoll’s “A study of man from Genesis 1,2,3”
Guys, listen to this…its going to take a while, but it is very good. If you don’t hear advice for yourself you either didn’t hear the same audio I did, or you at least know a guy who you have influence over who NEEDS to hear this. Ladies, feel free to give this a listen if you choose, your men may need a hand becoming what Mark is talking about. I wouldn’t share this if I didn’t think it was worth it.

Di just made a “Little Mermaid” reference in Red Lobster… Something about that makes me snicker.
* Scammers
Posted on February 13th, 2009 by mdl. Filed under Uncategorized.
I’ve spent the last couple hours pouring through Craigslist and I’m finding myself increasingly frustraited by the ridiculous amount of scammers. It seemed like I couldn’t read 5 lines without hitting a scammer, and of course the scams where for the exact product I was looking for. Piffle.
Di needs a laptop, Di wants a mac.
I’ve said for many many moons I would buy her one, and with a few variables one of two things need to happen. 1, she either needs to tell me that she doesn’t want a mac and that she’ll use another machine (which has some valid cons), or 2, say screw it and pick out a machine she likes (cuz I’m done chilling on the fence). The bummer of it is I think I’d rather be buying a Canon 50d.
Oh the lengths I’ll go to – to not buy flowers on Valentines Day…

What a week! Its been a while since I put in this many hours. I guess the good part of me spending so much time at the office and the like, is that Di has TONS of time to study. She called last night about to pluck her eyes out if she had to look at a book to much longer.
At this point Valentine’s Day will serve mostly to save us from our self destructive schedules… Happily though, as busy as this week has been, we did get some quality time in with a bunch of great friends!

* Humbly frustraited

I just had a friend air a six month old grievence against me… So I am doing the best I can to handle this properly but also cautiously as to not let my pride get in the way. I think the issue deserves response but, again, very carefully as it not only involved me but also my wife and a friend.
Sorry you don’t get details, but I am really shocked that this has statred happening all the time. This, family gossiping about my wife and I, misunderstandings compounding into epic sleep loss… I think this calls for some self examination to see if I am somehow bringing this on myself or if I am just straight up being tested and attacked.
To sum up, Noel’s sermon on prayer was a good one for me this morning…
