* Procrastination

Do you have emails in your inbox that you are refusing to open right now?   Is that based on the person who sent it to you or the subject line?

Right now I have two of those chilling in my inbox.  The one I will use as an example, is from my Union President (someone I often let the emails chill for a while) subject line contains the name of our Union Lawyer (another reason to not read it)….  My work is doing layoffs right now, for now I am not included in them which I am very greatful for.  But right now I do not have the grace to extend to my Union that it would require to listen to some of the things they have to say.

Times suck.  Layoffs are happening all over the place, and this is the first time its happened here in a very long time.  We live in Michigan people, we are the unemployment armpit of the nation right now…  Union rhetoric won’t chante that.

    Totally been there. At my old job, I used to have a rule set up for a person so all of her email would go to a little folder just for her. This was under the pretense of organization, but really I was gunning for something like plausible deniability. “Oh, sorry, didn’t see your email, that’s why I didn’t help you.”
