* Economy: Barack v McCain aaaaand FIGHT

Posted on September 17th, 2008 by mdl. Filed under Updates.

Barack is going to “change” everything.  I have yet to hear how he is going to “change” anything just that he is going to “change” everything.  The only component that the Dems have offered is more “regulatory oversight,” and that was via his running mate Mr. Biden.

McCain, although almost as vague as Obama in how is going to change things, AT LEAST says he is going to start with Wall Street.

Hey Obama, let me give you a hint, I think McCain is pointing in the right direction.  Those record oil profits you talk about, ya that is coming from Wall Street.  The CEO’s with failing companies making sick sick bank, Dolan from Bristol Meyers Squib making better than 10m per year while dropping the stock value almost 50 % (there are many in this category), these guys are ruining the economy and the retirement of millions of Americans.  Start here buddy, start here.

As a small government proponent, saying “our economy needs more regulatory oversight,” scares me.  McCain, you sir are also talking about adding red tape via regulation, BUT at least he is telling me where he is going to start with this regulation, and he does have a track record of fighting regulation.  Now I realize you can’t trust thees guys as far as you can spit, but all I have to go off of is what they are saying they will do, and track record.  McCain historically – fought regulation (and we’ve had a booming economy during that period – till the .com bust and the towel head / twin tower encounter).  Obama, nothin that I’m aware of (feel free to educate me).

Alright friends…weigh in…

First off I think its all rhetoric we hear every 4 years, so nothing new to me. These people read the headlines of the Wall street journal and say “Thats what Ill change today”.

All I know is that McCain has been around for many, many years, and coming from were I do the “real” mavericks dont last that long. I know this for a fact. How? well you know were I work. I recently witness a man stand up to his party and he was literally removed from every committee he chaired. That being said I dont believe a word of it. Obama, new and young. That is part of the appeal, has not had time to truly be corrupted yet. This country has changed quite a bit in the last 8 years and cant name one thing that is positive.

My vote may be based soley off of who will take over in case someone croaks (old man, with history of cancer)

    Dangerous statement Mr Smoove.

Isn’t Palin arguably younger and had less time to be corrupted? Who did go against the grain her her own party in Alaska… I do realize you probably mean the TICKET with the least likely people to die in office.

But I do like your first point though.

  3. J smoove Says:

Most reports coming out of the great up north is that Palin is about as corrupt as they come.

I still dont believe the newborn baby is her’s. You know my theory

  4. mlilly Says:

I maintain what I said. You cannot trust politicians as far as you can spit.

I question the smear tactics though.

“Most reports…”? Are you kidding me right now? The media has been after her from the get go. She saved Alaska billions. Just sayin… With all the bs being spread about her she actually did do good stuff up there.

I read something that the most interesting ticket would be an Obama / Palin ticket. HA, wouldn’t that just be a riot. Hi my name is Mike and I want to be the chairman of the board for Exxon Mobile k thanks now where is my private jet?

Wont argue she did alot of good for a very large state the size of a very small city. Hehe, now Im just provoking you…….

  6. mlilly Says:

Oh now you will disenfranchise an entire state because it is less populated? You probably think New York and California should decide the electoral too. :-p

Who is taunting who now Smoove.

  7. J smoove Says:

They do already, look at our state. You dont win it unless you win detroit. Thats not saying much cuz they are all a bunch of tard’s over there but it doesnt make it less true.

  8. mlilly Says:

Actually I’ve never heard cnn call Detroit (lol) or Mich for that matter a swing state. But I have heard Ohio called a swing state… Never a mention of NY or CA THROWING an election. You rule out any one state and it matters.

I wonder who the “tards” (as you say) are voting for…

  9. J smoove Says:

Ha! who the tards always vote for. Thats easy

  10. J smoove Says:

and I was making a comparison is all. Man you like to argue……..I feel so sorry for Di :)

  11. mlilly Says:

I don’t consider this arguing :-) Dialog maybe, sparing perhaps, arguing? HA, I think my blood pressure went down not up.

As for Di? Hey man she chose it :-) As for Jamie, I feel sorry she has such a politically inclined hubby :-p

  12. J smoove Says:

Yeah, I know. I was just kidding. I obviously love this stuff.

  13. mlilly Says:

I just think you called all of DT tards… You could have at least said “sources close to Matt Millen.”

  14. J smoove Says:

    Yep I did.

  15. mlilly Says:

I meant to say I thought it was funny. Whoops, can’t put lipstick on that pig, I mean typing error.

  17. mlilly Says:

He must be working or something. What a punk, you think you know a guy….

  18. J smoove Says:

Plus after noel’s message and his talk on women as elders I strongly feel that I cannot vote for a McCain/Palin ticket based on biblical reasoning. hehe
