There is a new game show on Sunday evenings on Satellite at least, perhaps other forms of television pleasure as well but Satellite for all I know… This game constitutes a giant wall with a shape and individuals must fit through the shape or be knocked into a pool.

This game has the most aweful commentating, and the contestants appear to be pretty doped up to be as excited as they are, but it was HILARIOUS! I suggest y’all look it up and enjoy yourself some madness.

Di’s birthday was this weekend. From a husband’s view point it was a good birthday. We had good food, a fun time shopping, and got to spend some quality time with my brother and his fabulous wife as they recouped from their 15 bazillionth wedding this summer (must be hard having so many friends :-p ).

And oh yeah, she made some cookies that where out of this world! Stop looking at me like that, of course I helped, it WAS her birthday.

Call it stupid tax, call it being screwed by a “friend,” but whatever you call it I had a debt to pay and I paid it. After all the soul searching over this one, I decided that I had already said what I needed to say to this guy, that busting him up more would have only been for my foolish pride.

I have been blessed, to whine about a raw deal now would only spit at the grace I have been given. Did I get screwed yes…But I am not missing any meals, my family is unharmed, I still have a job and a safe home. Life isn’t all that bad, I got a raw deal. Did that raw deal cause pain, sure, am I harmed, no not really. I had A LOT of friends give me their input, which I value and appreciate, but I decided that it was better to pay my debt, and let the comments I have made stand. To further argue might have saved money in the end, but would have ruined people, which is contrary to where I felt led. There were more factors in this then I can begin to explain, and many that I wouldn’t share publicly anyway. My head spun for a week on how to handle this…

So its done, over, one cloud that has finally moved on. I decided less was more in this instance.

We have had a lot of great times… You’ve gotten me through countless snow storms. Times I should have not been driving, your SUV’ness made it possible for me to parade around and grin at all of the itty-bitty cars off in the ditch. Remember that time we went bouncing down those crazy trails on Drummond Island? Yeah that was great.

But I think we need to see other people. Its not you its me. You see, I had work done on my yard without a quote and therefore I can no longer support you as a depreciating “asset” (and I use the term asset loosely in this context). You’ve always been there for me, but I just need some space, and some dollars. Maybe we can still be friends, but who am I kidding that never works out anyway.

I just wanted to be the one to tell you before someone else tells you that you are on craigslist.
