I just found out a job that I passed on was mine for the taking…and the paygrade would have pretty much wiped out me even noticing that Diana has cut back to one day a week.
Now I’m praying fervently that I made the right call.
Picture me slapping my face right now.

The internet is such a huge and interesting place… But after a while I find myself going to the same places over and over again.
So I’m curious. What sites do you find yourself going to all the time?
I use Google Reader to limit how much “browsing” I actually do, but I find that I have loaded it up with stuff that I just skim but I’ll start from the top by category.
- Deals - newegg, buy.com, woot.com
- Friend’s Blogs - 15 of these, but a good handful of those are not updated regularly.
- Tech - engadget, cnet, and tech crunch (I had to remove digg’s tech rss because it just got to be to much to handle)
- Stocks - I emptied this category out because it was depressing me
- GTD - Signals Vs Noise (great entrepreneur stuff), 43folders
- Funnies - xkcd, what the duck, dilbert (sent to my email)
- People I don’t know (blogs)- Gary Vaynerchuck, Guy Kawasaki, Cali Lewis, Joel C. Rosenberg, Kevin Rose, Veronica Belmont
- Photoblogs - Boutwell Studio, Brent Maxwell Photo, [daily dose of imagery], Light and dark, Mikenna White, Shrued, The Image is Found (I don’t know all of these photogs, but so far nothing on them made me blush)
- Misc - CNN, The Weather Channel
I have been finding myself on Flickr a ton recently… I’ve been trying to make a habit of uploading pics and submittiing them to groups in hopes of getting some peer review. So far no peer review, but I’m sure in time that will come.
So I’m curious, what the heck are you doing on the interwebs?

Google labs just released a gadget so you can view your 5 most recent google docs, and your google calendar on the left toolbar inside of gmail.
To add this, just go to settings (in the upper right corner), click the “labs” tab, scroll all the way down and you will see the calendar gadget and the google dogs gadget, just click the enable button.
This makes me very happy, you have no idea.

Its mornings like today, when you are a little on edge, have a TON to do, and you don’t feel like doing it…when you really REALLY enjoy your coffee

Hunting this weekend. I’m pumped. And you are too! You don’t even know it but you are pumped. Because if I “catch one” (as my wonderful wife says), then chances are you might get to partake in some of the jerky
See, I told you that you where excited and didn’t even know it.

The tite has not one thing to do with the content, but it was on the radio so it worked
* Headache

So I’ve had some gentlemen installing new ductwork in my office and the common area outside of my office for over a week now. They are putting in some new heat units and the like. With the drop ceiling tiles the sounds just echo around and down into my office, amplified.
So the guy pounding on the brick wall with a hammer right now, I’m not enjoying it.
My neighbor’s radio, yeah I hear it possibly better then he does.
This is pretty much the perfect storm for a constant headache, which is pretty much what they have accomplished. Oh well, maybe more coffee will help.
* Life group

I’m pretty blessed to have these group of friends. Even more amazing is how quickly our prayer chain there has turned into a very strong and powerful thing. Not like I’m counting because I don’t know that it would be appropriate, but God’s hand is visibly moving through the prayers of that group.
We have youngin Christians, and we have people like myself who grew up in church. The different perspectives are both interesting and challenging. But one thing I found really cool, is the opportunity to continue Riv’s ways of snagging the important words and understanding how those words set apart a normal statement into a profound one.
Whether I was right or wrong, I made a point about the difference between Respect and Reverence. We talked at length on the difference between the life of strength, courage, and fearlessness contrasted with the holy fear of our creator. It was a good time, and it took our conversations to an interesting level.
Nod your head, this is good stuff.
